Students will procure funding sources and student loans, Nation funding and other funding agencies. NEC scholarships are available for Indigenous applicants.
Working with Indigenous and non-Indigenous agencies to learn how to provide valuable tourism experience based on traditional Indigenous culture and history.
Continue your educational journey by developing management skills through our Indigenous Tourism Management Diploma (ITM) program at NEC, offered in the Fall of 2025.
Upon completion of the Indigenous Tourism Operations Certificate, the learner will have an understanding and appreciation:
Have the skills and knowledge to seek employment for positions in cultural tourism, ecotourism and entry-level positions in the tourism industry.
Develop a high level of communication skills and experience a cross-cultural tourism setting.
