Post-secondary education scholarships

For Indigenous Peoples

NEC offers scholarships for new students entering eligible post-secondary programs (excluding provincially funded programs) to support their educational and career goals. Current students may apply for bursaries. Scholarships and bursaries are non-repayable.

NEC Scholarships 

This entrance scholarship will be presented to a learner who intentionally prioritizes culture, family, and community alongside their academic growth. Dr. Pointe taught us that we come from intergenerational strength and brilliance, and that when we purposefully walk with care, focus, and intention, our success will be profound.

  • 1. Applicant must self-declare as Indigenous (Status or Non-Status).

  • 2. A funding denial letter from your band or sponsor is required.

  • 3. Complete all required fields on the application form and await the assessment.
