Indigenous Tourism Operations Certificate

This program offers students the skills and knowledge to seek employment in the tourism industry. Each semester includes field experience projects and placements that will develop hands-on skills and promote networking within the tourism industry.

Next Intake: Fall 2025

  • The Program is 38 weeks in duration, and consists of 610 hours of face-to-face instruction time with 150 hours of practicum experience.
  • Delivery method: On campus, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

  • B.C. secondary school (Grade 12) or equivalent (B.C. Adult Dogwood Graduation Diploma or General Education Diploma).
  • Minimum "C" grade in English 12
  • Minimum "C" grade in Math 11
  • Mature Student Status: (if no official transcript available )

Financial Aid

Students will procure funding sources and student loans, Nation funding and other funding agencies. NEC scholarships are available for Indigenous applicants.
