Come to see author Joseph Kakwinokanasum

Joseph Kakwinokanasum is a member of the James Smith Cree Nation. In the early 2000’s he started writing as a catharsis—a routine of selfcare and mental wellness. In 2014, he was awarded the Canada Council for the Arts: Creation Grant for Aboriginal Peoples Writers and Storytellers. My Indian Summer is Joseph’s first novel. Joseph will be speaking for about 30-40 minutes, followed with a short Question & Answer period.
