Adult Upgrading

If you are an adult learner and haven’t completed high school or need to upgrade to meet post-secondary requirements, the Indigenous Adult Basic Education (IABE) program is where your educational path starts. Improve basic English, math, and computer skills for personal benefit or to prepare for a job.

Business

Obtain professional-level training and earn a certificate in our business focused offerings, which are designed to prepare you for high-growth opportunities. Provide exceptional customer service while learning and engaging in Indigenous culture and values.

Health sciences

NEC relies on an Indigenous wellness model to prepare students to become health professionals in the community, with the objective of designing and delivering successful initiatives that reduce health inequalities and inequity. At NEC, we adhere to Longhouse Values and traditional teachings of the host nations hence, all NEC Health courses reflect Longhouse principles and philosophies. 

Humanities & Social sciences

Begin your post-secondary journey by earning a certificate or diploma in the social sciences or humanities which will prepare you for the career pathway of your choice.  NEC has transfer agreements with other colleges and universities that will allow you to continue your educational journey should you wish to.  At NEC we incorporate authentic Indigenous cultural content in all of our curriculum content which engenders critical thinking and teaches from an Indigenous world view and provides a unique and valuable perspective.
