The Indigenous Digital Leadership certificate program provides training for entry into the position of Workplace Technology Support Specialist. In this occupation, you may use established systems and protocols to install, troubleshoot and configure enterprise computer software and network devices. You may also deliver online presence and support for medium and small business. Other names for this occupation are Computer Network Technician, User Support Technician. Related occupations are Database Administrator, Information Systems Testing Technician and Computer and Information Systems Manager.

TECH 101 Workplace Communication
Communication is a technical skill to best support workplace efficiency. Graduates will be proficient in producing common business documents and productivity tools. Writing, listening, and presenting information in a respectful and professional manner is required for success in technology management. TECH 101 is a prerequisite for TECH 115.
TECH 105 Online Presence and Collaboration Tools
Students will learn how to arrange and support an online presence for medium and small business. This includes cloud storage and team collaboration tools in addition to web and social media. Learners will support an organization through effective collaboration with specialists in various technologies and devices.
TECH 106 Network and Server Administration
Technology leaders have accountability for the network infrastructure for business productivity and data security. This includes the rollout of new software, managing user accounts, maintaining images for installs, server installations and applications, and network performance. Learners will gain the skills for supporting networks and the knowledge of how they are best organized. TECH 106 is a prerequisite for TECH 110.
TECH 110 Client Computer Configuration
Students will install, troubleshoot, and configure computer software and network devices including the latest workstations in large organizations. Supporting users for business efficiency and data safety is essential. Lab activities will provide experience managing user accounts and system requirements.
TECH 115 Technology Workplace Professionalism
Students will strengthen their skills for applying their technology knowledge in business and community settings. Working safely and respectfully with clients and workplace processes and procedures will be explored. The role of technology in Indigenous cultural resurgence is a focus.
